Codes are randomly composed to match each country's published postal structure. They are not guaranteed to point to real delivery addresses.

What is a post code?

A post code (or postal code, ZIP code) is a short sequence of letters and digits that postal services use to sort and route mail. Introduced to speed up delivery, codes now identify geographic areas down to a single street or building in many countries.

The UK launched the world’s first modern postcode system in the late 1950s. The United States followed with the five-digit ZIP in 1963, extending it to ZIP+4 in 1983. Today nearly every nation uses some form of postal code, though formats vary widely — from India’s six-digit PIN to Canada’s alternating letter-number ANA NAN.

This generator produces codes that match each country’s real format so you can use them wherever a structurally valid postcode is needed.

Getting the most from the generator

If your form validates a US ZIP, switch to the US selector so codes have the right length.

About half of US results include the four-digit suffix, ideal for testing extended formats.

Each click gives eight codes — copy all to populate a column of test data in seconds.

Codes are random. Never use them for actual mail — they likely won’t deliver.
